The athlete Dickson Chumba won the race in the Tokyo Marathon 2018, which was held on 25th of February in the Japanese capital. This is the second time that Chumba gets a victory in this appointment and the fifth time he gets on the podium. As reported by Reuters, the athlete “got rid of the group of leaders near the 36 kilometers, at which time he sprinted and retained a late load of Yuta Shitara, crossing the line in two hours, five minutes and 30 seconds.” On the other hand, Amos Kipruto, who debuted in this event, got the third place in two hours, six minutes and 33 seconds.
The Kenyan athletes, Chumba and Kipruto, belong to 2 Running Club, a team sponsored by INDIBA activ throughout the sports season of 2018. In its promotion for the highest level sport, the Japanese team of INDIBA activ worked with them hours before of the competition to help improve their physical condition, because as the club recalled, “to get a great brand, all the details matter”.
Preparing the trainings with INDIBA activ
INDIBA Activ also accompanied the athletes in their headquarters in Kenya to prepare the training before competing in the marathon of Abbot World Marathon Majors, a program that groups 6 of the best marathons in the world in cities such as Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York. The victories of Chumba and Kipruto, in the first meeting of the 2018 season for 2 Running Club, indicate that the season promises to be exciting for the team.

After knowing the victory, the president of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto, conveyed his congratulations to the athletes for “having raised their flag with this fantastic feat”.
