TIPS BEFORE YOU START INDIBA® ACTIV THERAPY
In general, we must bear in mind the contraindications of INDIBA® ACTIV on patients with pacemakers or electronic implants. Its application in open wounds or in skin that has not healed (blisters or recent burns) should also be avoided.
Pregnant women should refrain from performing the treatment and should not apply to the chest area during breastfeeding.
If the skin has suffered a very intense sun exposure it is advisable to restrict its use between one and two days. However, healthy skin that has recently sunburned is not an impediment and working at a moderate power can even help drain the erythema caused by sun exposure.
Patients who suffer a loss of sensitivity (such as congenital insensitivity to pain, nerve damage, paraplegia, or if they are taking drugs that reduce sensitivity) can work on biostimulation or low vascularization if necessary.
The INDIBA® ACTIV treatment does not cause skin burns in any case, however, in order not to interfere with the application electrodes, it is recommended to remove piercings or jewelry before starting therapy.
