“Get ready Tokyo! Here we go!”, announced Dickson Chumba and Amos Kipruto, athletes of 2 Running Club who these days train with INDIBA Active in their headquarters in Kenya to compete in Abbot World Marathon Majors. A program that includes 6 of the best marathons in the world in cities such as Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York. Specifically, Chumba and Kipruto are going to participate in the Tokyo Marathon, the most important in Asia, which will be held on February 25th.
The days before the race, training and preparation is essential to reach the Japanese capital in the best possible physical way: “The wind, the dust, the slippery road and the harsh conditions make us stronger”, they explain in a recent update that they just shared on their social media account.
This will become the first appointment of the new 2018 annual sports season for 2 Running Club. With this collaboration, INDIBA Activ is committed to continue promoting the sport of the highest level along with elite runners, preventing and decreasing recovery times, thus contributing to achieve even more excellent marks.
Rehabilitation and prevention of injuries in elite training
“I am very happy that INDIBA Activ is a partner of 2 Running Club and that it pays special attention to our physical condition. I will run the Tokyo Marathon and I am sure that INDIBA Activ will help me prevent injuries and accelerate my recovery after the hard training in preparation for this great event”, explains Dickson Chumba, Chicago Marathon champion in 2015. He achieved a mark of 2:04.33 in the Tokyo Marathon of the year 2014.
Eunice Sum, athlete of 2 Running Club, agrees with her teammate: “The outdoor athletic season makes me face many races, sometimes with a few days of rest in the middle, I am very happy that INDIBA Activ is a partner of 2 Running Club because I’m sure it will help us optimize recovery during races”.
The collaboration of INDIBA Activ with 2 Running Club will extend throughout the sports season 2018. In an era where sporting performance is constantly pushed towards increasingly higher limits, care for the prevention of injuries, care for their rehabilitation and the maximization of the benefits in training become key factors in elite sport.
The director of the Tokyo Marathon, Tad Hayano, assured that this event promises to be an exceptional event: “Seeing the performance of world-class riders excites everyone. Enjoy the Tokyo Marathon 2018, the race has the claim to be a true ‘world class marathon’! “.
